Open Doors, a global non-profit, came to us with the need to raise awareness of modern day Christian persecution, and expand their donor base. We developed a two-part campaign for them which we called The Ripple Effect.

The first part was a church-wide campaign which enabled pastors to take their congregations through a 6-week study of the issue. With resources for adults, youth, and kids; the campaign educated them about the realtime and escalating persecution that is happening to Christians around the world. The video series for The Ripple Effect challenges the participants to learn and go deeper.

The second part was a viral awareness campaign designed to educate and create activism centered around modern day Christian Persecution. We created a master website and a series of six micro-sites. Each micro-site had a piece of awareness education and a piece of activism that the viewer could take part in. The campaign was designed so that participants could come into contact with any of the six viral components, and be drawn back into the master site where they could go deeper and engage with the other five components. Each of the six micro-sites empowered the participant to get involved, spread the word, and pay it forward.

RESULTS

Open Doors were extremely pleased with the campaign. They were able to acquire enough new monthly donors in the first 6-months to more than cover the cost. Open Doors kept the brand alive and released a 2.0 and 3.0 version of the church campaign which fed participants into their other advocacy programs.

Factoid:

More than 320 Christians are killed every month because they are following Christ along with more than 200 Christian Churches that are all destroyed each month.
